come to the right place. Below is a list of frequently
asked questions and their answers. If, after reading
these, you still have a question, then by all means
give us a call or drop us an email. Contact information
is provided at the bottom of this page. Please realize
that each year we receive literally hundreds of
sponsorship proposals, but unfortunately we are
unable to offer sponsorship to all those who apply.
Frequently Asked Questions and
Answers
Does pb
have an athlete sponsorship program?
Yes!
pb has an athlete
sponsorship program consisting of all levels of
athletes, clubs and teams.
I am not a top ranked
professional athlete, should I still apply?
Yes,
yes, yes! pb
is proud to sponsor both professional and non professional
athletes alike. Although competitive results are
important, there are many other qualities that we
look for in sponsored athletes.
Do you sponsor international
athletes?
Yes
we do.
I am a currently sponsored
or previously sponsored by pb.
Do I need to reapply?
Yes,
sponsorships are awarded for one year, according
to your competitive season.
We cannot guarantee sponsorship beyond the time
frame of your current sponsorship.
When is the best time
to apply?
If you are interested in applying for our sponsorship
program, please review the proposal deadlines in
the grid below. If your sport is a summer sport
not mentioned specifically, then it should be submitted
with the "All Other Summer Sports" deadline.
If there is something unique about the timing of
your competitive season, in relation to our due
dates, then send us an email and we will let you
know what to do.
Athletes who are applying for renewal of their existing
sponsorship or applying for a new sponsorship must
adhere to the same deadlines.
Can I still apply if
I miss the submission deadlines?
Yes,
you can still submit your proposal. However, proposals
received by the deadline will be given priority
over those received later. If your proposal is received
after your sport's deadline, then our roster may
already be full by the time we review your proposal.
What should I do if
my sport does not have a strict competitive season,
or is a year-round sport?
If your sport is year-round then you will be asked
to apply with the summer athletes.
Refer to the grid below for specific due dates for
"All Other Summer Sports".
How long does a sponsorship
last?
All
sponsorships are for one year and are based on your
sport's competitive season. In the case of winter
athletes, your dates are different. Your sponsorships
will run from April 1,
to April 1. We do not start sponsorships in the
middle of a season.
If I send in my proposal
early will I get a faster response?
No,
all proposals will be held until the submission
deadline and then reviewed as a group. Reviewing
proposals is a comparative process, so we need to
have all proposals in hand
before any decisions can be made.
Will you notify me if I
am awarded a sponsorship or not?
Yes,
we notify everyone, whether you are awarded sponsorship
or not. We will make every effort to contact you
by phone, mail, or email by the response dates indicated
below. Do not forget to include contact information
in your proposal.
Do you have a sponsorship
application form?
No,
we do not have a sponsorship application form.
What do you want to see
in my sponsorship proposal?
It
is helpful to see some personal background information
pertaining to your sport, a race resume, tentative
race schedule, and sponsorship proposal. Think of
your proposal as a creative writing assignment,
not just a fact sheet. We read a lot of proposals
and welcome those that are both informative and
fun to read. Let us know what's unique about you
and how we can have a mutually beneficial relationship.
Also, please include a stamped self-addressed postcard
with your proposal. We will mail that postcard back
to you to confirm receipt of your proposal.
In what format do you want
my proposal?
Attention
Athlete Sponsorship Please send us either a hard
copy of your proposal or one on CD. Fax quality
is unreliable, emailed text tends to lose its format,
and emailed attachments cannot always be opened
-- all of which work against you.
Where do I send my proposal?
All
information should be sent to:
